2025 Leadership Baton Rouge Graduation Program Overview
Leadership Baton Rouge is a long-standing leadership development program that equips emerging leaders with a deep understanding of the region’s key challenges and opportunities. Since its founding in 1985, the program has graduated more than 1,450 professionals—many of whom now serve on boards, commissions, and in elected office at every level. Through immersive sessions focused on topics like education, healthcare, economic development, arts and culture, criminal justice, and civic engagement, participants gain firsthand insight into the forces shaping our region. It’s also an excellent pipeline of talent for organizations looking to expand their leadership or board representation.
Curriculum
The Leadership Baton Rouge curriculum is built to spark conversation, connection, and change. Sessions include expert panels, field experiences, and facilitated group discussion. Program goals include:
- Developing a diverse group of leaders prepared to serve in community roles
- Providing practical knowledge of regional issues and assets
- Creating a strong network of emerging and established leaders
- Encouraging deeper civic and volunteer engagement
Tuition
Tuition for the 2027 cohort is $2,000.
