Director of Investor Development

The Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership (The Partnership) Director of Investor Development is responsible for soliciting and securing new annual investors to support the organization’s mission, retaining and engaging current investors, and supporting the efforts of the investor development team.
Key Responsibilities
Securing new annual investors- 70%
- Develop and track prospect pipelines
- Develop and implement prospect generation protocols and communications
- Create and implement a strategy to secure at least $300k of new investment annually
- Utilize the investor database to identify, research/qualify, and track prospective investors and related tasks
- Ensure records are kept accurately in the CRM
Investor Stewardship- 15%
- Ensure investors are recognized for their investments, achievements, and additional contributions to The Partnership and the Baton Rouge Area
- Build relationships with investors to strengthen their engagement and connection, to secure new prospective investor leads, and to support retention efforts
- Serve as a Partnership representative in the community through strategic engagement
Collaboration- 15%
- Work across the organization to understand and communicate The Partnership’s work and partnerships, mission, vision, and values
- Create and support an investor-focused culture within the organization
- Manage projects related to new investor development
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Three+ years of sales, marketing, or non-profit fundraising experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn and successfully navigate new systems/databases
- A strong command of Microsoft Office Suite
- Interest in understanding and improving the Baton Rouge region
- Natural curiosity, highly motivated, self-starter, team player
