Event to encourage community, connection during evening of dinner parties
BATON ROUGE, La. (August 19, 2024) — The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) today announced that it will host BTR Dinner on Thursday, October 17. BTR Dinner revives the concept of Around the Table, an event that places participants in private homes around the community for an evening of conversation and connections in the setting of home dinner parties.
Community and business leaders volunteer as hosts for the event. Registered participants will be randomly assigned to host homes the week of the event, creating a mysterious, fun, and engaging experience. The goal of the event is to promote community connections in an interesting, unexpected way.
“BTR Dinner is a unique opportunity to strengthen our community by fostering meaningful connections in a welcoming setting,” said Lori Melancon, president and CEO of BRAC.
The event is open to the public, but space is limited, and ticket sales will close on October 6. Those interested in attending can register at greaterbatonrouge.org/events.
The event is sponsored by Premier Sponsor Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana and Supporting Sponsors Community Coffee and Off the Hook.
