LIVINGSTON, La. – Epic Piping, LLC, a portfolio company of Bernhard Capital Partners (BCP), announced a $25 million expansion and upgrade of its advanced manufacturing operations in south Louisiana to meet rising demand across natural gas, nuclear power, data center and other energy-related markets.
The company is expected to create 76 direct new jobs with an average salary of $58,377, which is 30% above the average Livingston Parish wage. It will also retain 370 existing positions. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in an additional 136 indirect new jobs, for a total of 212 potential new job opportunities in the Capital Region.
“Epic Piping’s expansion underscores how Louisiana is positioning itself at the forefront of the industries that keep America moving,” Governor Jeff Landry said. “With pro-growth policies and unmatched industrial capacity, Louisiana is leading the way in energy, manufacturing and construction. Projects like this strengthen our industrial footprint and create real opportunities for Louisiana workers and families.”
The expansion will integrate a fully staffed large-diameter and heavy-wall production line into Epic Piping’s manufacturing facility at 28445 South Frost Road in Livingston. It will be supported by upgraded material-handling systems designed to improve workflow and fabrication efficiency. Together, these upgrades will strengthen Epic Piping’s ability to execute large and complex industrial projects for customers in key energy and technology markets.
“Epic Piping has deep roots in Louisiana, and today Louisiana is home to not only this growing world-class fabrication facility, but also our corporate headquarters,” United Weld Holdings, LP, Epic Piping’s parent company, CEO Remi Bonnecaze said. “We are grateful for the opportunity to align closely with the visionary leadership of Governor Landry and the LED team. Their success in attracting transformative projects positions Louisiana as a national leader in the reshoring of American manufacturing, and we are humbled to play a supporting role in bringing these initiatives to fruition while helping create quality, long-term, high-impact jobs for Louisianans.”
“Epic Piping was one of the first investments we made when we founded our firm, and it has grown into a cornerstone example of our strategy to build great companies in great markets,” Patrick Bernhard, managing director at Bernhard Capital Partners and a board member of United Weld Holdings, LP, said. “We thank Governor Landry for his leadership in making Louisiana the best brand in the country for economic development and a place where companies want to invest and expand. Across our platform we now have ten companies headquartered in Louisiana and eighteen operating across the state, supporting nearly seven thousand Louisiana employees. This expansion also continues our decades long commitment to Livingston Parish that began in 1985. Epic’s growth is a testament to the strength of Louisiana’s workforce and the future we are building together.”
This project builds on Epic Piping’s 2015 investment that established its advanced pipe fabrication facility and corporate headquarters in Louisiana. Construction is scheduled to begin this month, with commercial operations expected in early 2027.
“Epic Piping’s expansion is a strong example of the progress taking hold across Louisiana’s economy,” LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois said. “As investment grows in energy, manufacturing and data infrastructure, companies like Epic Piping are expanding to meet that demand. This project reflects the strength of our statewide industrial ecosystem and the opportunities being created for Louisiana workers across multiple industries.”
To secure the project in Livingston, the state of Louisiana offered Epic Piping, LLC a competitive incentives package that includes the comprehensive workforce development solutions of LED FastStart and $900,000 from the Economic Development Award Program (EDAP) for infrastructure improvements. The company is also expected to participate in the state’s High Impact Jobs and Industrial Tax Exemption program.
“This Epic Piping expansion is more than infrastructure, it’s confidence,” Parish President Randy Delatte said. “A $25 million dollar investment and 76 new jobs proves that Livingston Parish can compete and win. Thank you to the workers putting in the work, the families supporting the sacrifice, and the partners like LED helping local job preservation stay strong right here in Livingston Parish.”
“As one of Livingston Parish’s largest employers, Epic Piping has been a tremendous partner in our parish, and this expansion shows just how committed they are to our community and our people,” Livingston Economic Development Council President Melody Lockwood said. “Investments of this scale strengthen our local economy and create ripple effects that benefit businesses and families throughout the Capital Region. We are proud to support their continued growth.”
“We’re delighted to see Epic Piping expand in Livingston Parish,” President & CEO of the Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership Lori Melancon said. “As one of the largest privately owned pipe fabrication and distribution firms in the world, their decision to grow here reflects the advantages they’ve found in the Capital Region — a site that can support their next phase of expansion, access to skilled talent, and coordinated support from state and local partners.”
