Ascension
Ascension Parish is strategically located between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, with the parish seat of Donaldsonville on the West Bank of the Mississippi River and the rapidly growing communities of Gonzales, Prairieville, and Geismar on the East Bank.
Spanning approximately 303 square miles, Ascension offers excellent connectivity via Interstate 10, U.S. Highway 61 (Airline Highway), Louisiana Highways 22 and 44, and is served by both Canadian National and Union Pacific railroads.
